Information for Health Professionals

The information provided on this website is primarily aimed at patients, in language that can be easily understood by those without medical knowledge.

This section describes some of what is available to medical professionals.

Continuing Medical Education

Mr Bowden will be pleased to hear from any medical practitioners who would like to receive an update on back care and managing back pain.  He is available to speak directly over the telephone or in person during one of his clinics.  If you work in a practice where more than one practitioner would value an update and Q&A session, with or without a presentation, please contact Mr Bowden via email (address can be found here).

For any presentations given at practices or to groups of health professionals, signed certificates will be issued by Mr Bowden for claiming CME/CPD points.  Copies of the presentation will be made available in hard or soft copy as preferred.

Mr Bowden's availability for educational seminars to groups of groups of healthcare professionals is typically certain weekday lunchtimes, early mornings or evenings.

Professional advice

Any medical or healthcare professional who would like to speak with Mr Bowden regarding a patient or for general advice related to managing back pain is welcome to email a request to his secretary, (contact details here) stating your name, occupation, telephone number and times of day that would be convenient to be called back.  Any specific details of the nature of the concern would be appreciated.  Please try to avoid including patients' personal information in email correspondence unless it is sent securely.

Second opinions

Any consultant or medical practitioner wishing to obtain a second opinion should contact Mr Bowden's secretary, Mrs Mandy O'Sullivan, who will endeavour to arrange an appointment or review of images as the earliest possible time.
